Star Trek Fleet Command App Reviews

  • Don’t spend too much right now

    By Globe77
The game makes it impossible to progress past level 24 without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars. This is due to absurdly low drop rates of 3-star uncommon refined materials, and they cost over $1.50 per unit to buy when some minor ship upgrades or research projects take hundreds of them. So have fun, take your time, and restrain spending, because all you’re doing is getting to the massive paywall faster. Eventually they’ll have to change the drop rates, but save your money until they do.
  • Theft encouraged

Fairly fun game. Only nice thing I can say. Was enjoying the game and decided to use some Christmas money to purchase some of their material packs. What is not well known is other players can come and take those materials at will. There is no mechanic which stops another player from attacking your base over and over. I woke up one morning to find my base attacked over 15 times by one player and 90% of the materials I paid for gone. Customer service stated that’s the way the game is set up and there is nothing they could do. Buyer beware, do not purchase anything you aren’t ready to have taken from you.

  • Good but not

Pay to win for sure you just get attacked all the time when you spent weeks getting somewhere do not get unless you like to pay tons of money to be the big dog I hate these games. I don’t mind spending money to support the developers but pay to play forget this
  • Where’s the Strategy?

    By Kpm4321
I’m being generous with three stars. There is no strategy to this game. At least not in combat. If your opponent has a more powerful vessel, then you will lose. It is a guarantee. There are no controls for combat. Click on the other player, press attack, and cross your fingers! By the way, how is it that a level 13 or 14 can have a vessel that is a power level equivalent to a level 30? That’s some serious pay to win! This is not Star Trek. If you are a true Trekkie, then this is not the game for you. This is more like “Wild, Wild West meets Star Wars in Afghanistan.” In other words, it’s a free for all where the small guys are battling little Empires all while fending off other little groups of terrorists hell bent on destroying your resource gatherers so that they can keep building and funding their little terrorist groups. Mr Roddenberry is rolling in his grave over this one.... I feel like I should say something good. I did give it three stars. The graphics are great for a mobile game. The leveling up, upgrades and production are really simple and fun. Building takes a while the higher your level gets, but I don’t think that it is unreasonable. The missions are actually quite fun. I look forward to those any time that I enter a new system. I would really like to see more in-depth stories or even a campaign. PVP needs a lot of work....
  • Ok at first boring after a while.

Game started out with lots to do, became obvious all they want is money. Very glitchy. Unless you spend plenty of money you can’t get enough of the resources you need (uncommon) to keep progressing, if they don’t adjust things just move on, not worth the time.
  • Slow and Expensive - Not for those with jobs

    By IAapplejunkie
Everything in this game takes a long time. Resources are scarce, take a long time to gather and refine, and are wasted in meaningless missions. Upgrading your ships is even slower and expensive in resources. I have been playing the game for over a month and have barely progressed. I have spent $15 on resource packs in an attempt to speed things up but have not really benefited much. The community of players is fun but that is the only redeeming quality. Don’t bother unless you have hundreds of dollars to spend monthly and unlimited time to invest.
