Ok so this app is great! I was able to learn a few languages in a few years! One complaint though, can you guys PLEASE add Latin to one of the languages you can learn? I know it’s a dead language but I would love to be able to speak it!
  • $$$ Ads Ads Ads

You used to be able to learn languages in an encouraging way. Now you have to pay for unlimited health points to have the same learning experience and it makes you feel like you are failing and you will fail if you don’t buy. On top you have constant ads interfering with learning. I get you need to make money but the user experience has truest plummeted.
  • Good overall, but...

Inputting is error proned: can’t count how many times I accidentally pressed the “check” button or the “done” button on the keyboard while typing which would evaluate my incomplete written answer; UI design could be improved.
  • So far so good

Easy to use app that is intuitive and free. Sometimes new words pop up that were not introduced previously, so there is a bit of guessing at times. However, very happy with the app so far. Using it for an upcoming trip to France and later for a Japan trip.
  • Health

    By jerhshrddkhsisj
This is the catch with Duolingo I understand it’s how you make your money but the concept of health is not very it aggravates people when they want to learn but then they have to practice once then can’t practice again or watch a video it’s annoying and in my opinion stupid, but otherwise the app is great for learning new languages.
  • Great program

    By habla?notyet
Great program as it makes learning easy through sheer repetition and reinforcement. You felt very confident in what is being taught prior to the program moving on. It will re-emphasize points it sees you struggling in. I have tried three programs and this is by far the best.
  • Great app

i’m learning korean and it has worked fairly well. the only bad thing is that for 왜 and 웨 sometimes will have the same sound. i have lost all my health from those.

  • Nonsensical useless sentence examples

    By rk-madison
The interface and concept behind the app is great and I like how it approaches learning the alphabet of a language. But I’ve been using the app to refresh my Korean language skills and many of the sentence choices are nonsensical in an every day setting. For example here are a few of the sentences the app made me conjugate. “Men are popular” “I am not a book” Just about every other sentence you conjugate is like that. Please fix and provide real world sentences that are useful and could be used in a real conversation.
