I have quite a few issues with this app. First off, it doesn’t let you change your filters on what you’re looking for unless you pay. Being able to change your filters and preferences based on what you’re looking for should be a basic option available to everyone in ANY dating app and should NOT require ‘premium’ or paid access. That’s a poor attempt at a money grab for a very basic feature that should be free. Being able to change your preferences/filters is not a paid feature on ANY other popular dating app. Secondly, the UI is frustrating and not user friendly. When swiping through people, you should be able to look through all of their photos quickly without having to go to their actual profile to see their photos. You should be able to swipe from person to person and easily look through their photos, without having to go to their profile and then having to scroll down to see the rest of their photos, and then go back to be able to continue swiping. This is highly unnecessary and takes up a lot of time when swiping. Additionally, users should be able to scroll through all of someone’s photos as well as see their bio WITHOUT having to go to each persons profile and back to continue swiping. It should be much easier to see all of someone’s photos AND bio and continue swiping with ease. You can’t even see someone’s orientation, gender identity, or anything else WHILE you’re swiping unless you specifically go to their profile. The user interface is very clunky, cluttered, and is not user friendly. I also recommend that users be required to use their real first names via connecting with a Facebook account, because as of now some people have really long fake names on their profiles when you’re swiping, which frankly seems quite juvenile. This isn’t MySpace. On the personal profile side of things, you’re unable to click-and-drag to rearrange your photos, and instead you have to delete each photo and then re-upload your photos to get them in the order you want. There’s a pop-up in the app showing the ‘new and improved feed’, but this ‘new and improved’ feed doesn’t allow you to close the pop-up and instead I have to force-close and re-open the app to be able to actually use the app when this pop-up occurs. I’ve also noticed that people you’ve already swiped left on, will re-appear in your swipes as if for some reason I’ll magically decide to change my mind, and swipe right on someone I wasn’t previously interested in to begin with. What’s the point in that? This app is good in principle, but there’s A LOT of work needed to make the user interface a lot better and more user-friendly. Because of this, I’ll likely stick to Tinder or Bumble. It’s unfortunate that the UI is terrible, because there aren’t really any good dating apps focused solely on women. Devs-please consider my recommendations. Women need a solid app they can use, and as of now this app simply cannot compete with Tinder solely due to the UI and other factors I’ve mentioned.
