Overall, this was one of the most satisfying match three games that I have ever played. Love the freedom each user has in choosing fish and aquarium decorations. However, recent updates have rendered the game far less enjoyable. The main purpose of updates seems to be the addition of elements that make each level increasingly harder to beat without purchasing boosters etc. Hate the timers! What an awful addition to the match three elements. Who needs the stress of timers when they are trying to relax by playing this game? They are as bad as the icebergs and frozen tiles which only serve to confuse. Many times I have only one frozen tile to shatter, yet six to ten frozen tiles will be shown on the screen leaving the player unsure as to which one should be shattered in order to beat the level. It is extremely frustrating and makes me wonder why this continues despite multiple comments from users. Same thing with the squids, which often times do not appear on screen before your last moves have run out. Other elements such as granite, seem to serve only to confound and confuse the player. Please introduce elements that make the game more enjoyable, as opposed to elements that force the user to spend money or lose interest in the game altogether. The fish often talk too much - who wants to be told that they lost because of how their aquarium is designed? It’s aggravating and makes it hard to move elements around the aquarium. A pet peeve - shouldn’t each tank be designed with sand at the forefront? Sidewalks didn’t exist in the middle ages or in ancient Egypt - it’s unattractive. Otherwise, fantastic graphics - visually interesting and often downright fun! Love the decorations, especially the animations! Some are truly inspired and magical! Kudos for introducing Aquatasks! It’s good to feel something is gained after playing the same level multiple times without success.
  • Fun but needs work

I started out really enjoying this game but there are some things that really bother me. For one why should we have to pay for boosters if we don’t get to choose when and where we use them? The game randomly puts them in any spot at the beginning of the game...this is useless so many times, it’s extremely frustrating! What I also don’t understand is if you choose to use up gems to give you more turns or more time and are given a bonus bomb why in the world would you put that bomb as far away from where you actually need it as possible, so far away in fact that even with the extra 5 moves you would NEVER actually be able to use it? In what universe does this make any sense?? Oh ya, the universe where for some reason people still pay for this and it gets you money. I get it, you have to make money but if we pay for something we should get to use it the way it’s meant to be used! There are so many levels to the game I don’t see how that would make you lose any money because it gives people a reason to still want to play. I can only speak for myself of course but I’m 10x more likely to buy something if I feel like it’s going to benefit me and help me move up...not just sit there and be useless. I bet the developed laugh all the way to the bank on that one! I do enjoy the fish and the aquariums and I like that you earn quite a lot of coins easily to at least buy those but the gems/boosters issue is just ridiculous. From reading the other reviews it seems like it only gets worse the higher levels you go so I think it’s time to say goodbye to Fishdom. You’ve taken enough of my time and money now. Thanks for the fun while it was still fun and not just irritating!

This game is terrible. The levels are impossible to beat. Stupid objectives. Bad mechanics.
  • Fun but it take a long while to get star or vouchers
