I’m a route driver for FedEx and the app comes in handy when the addresses are correctly placed on Google maps. If not then the optimization doesn’t really work all that well. What I would like to see changed is the following: 1) When you search for an address it doesn’t always find it in your Favorites list. That’s a problem because if it’s in my favorites then I know I’ve relocated the location pin so it will take me to the correct spot. If you go by where Google thinks the address is at then it there’s a good chance the location will be wrong which will screw up the optimization. 2) It should be easier to add an address. Right now you have to click on the “Magnifying Glass”, then click the search bar, then click the microphone button, then click on the correct address, then click “add stop”. 3) The search code should be re-written so it pulls from your favorites list more. As is is right now if you don’t type exactly how it is saved in your favorites it will not show up. Example: if I have an address saved as a favorite as 1111 E Main it will not pull up the address saved in favorites if I search 1111 Main. But it will pull up all variations INCLUDING the Favorites variation but not as a favorite. (Using the saved favorite is important because I have notes and an updated location pin) 4) Something small but I have the app set to “Coordinates” instead of “By address”. So when I open Google maps to navigate Google maps doesn’t display the address so I have to go back to the app to see what address I’m going to. (If you are re-locating your location pins you need to change the setting to “Coordinates” instead of “By Address” so it navigates you to your updated pin and not where Google thinks the address is.) Side note/tip: I found that Google Maps is the best navigation app to use. (Most other apps, including Apple Maps uses the Google map code.) But always refer back to RW’s map to see your next stop. Google likes to send you around the block or have you drive down a road for miles then do a u-turn when you could have just as easily turned around at the previous stop and saved time. When setting up the app change your Navigation Target setting to “Coordinate” instead of the default setting “Address”. The reason why is if you relocated a pin for an address then your navigation app will take you to the updated pin location insuring your going to the exact location. When you create a route the difference between shortest and fastest is only relevant if your route is in a city. If your in the rural area it doesn’t make much difference which one you select. If your route is in the city then choose “fastest”. The reason why is sometimes it may be a shorter drive taking main roads but it may be faster taking a highway which is longer in miles but will get you there quicker. My rule is, Always, Always, Always save an address you visited as a favorite. So the next time you go to that address you know your location pin is updated so there’s no guessing where your stop is. And it helps the “Optimization” feature to because you have the right location. All in all it is a good app and worth the $5 bucks a month. Especially if your just learning a new route. If any new people have questions feel free to reach out and ask questions. My email is 1 2 3 a b c r o b (at) gmail. No spaces obliviously.

Add copy/paste function within the app to map multiple addresses. It’s really simple. Stop buying reviews from people.
  • Best app for routes.

Working for FedEx I needed something reliable. This app, was the best. I use it every day. PLUS, it’s CHEAPER! $60 per year to save you time is definitely worth the investment. I used Circuit App and they wanted $20! Nope, plus the did not allow you to order your stops to your knowledge or place you on a 1 ͏way snake route. They made you go by stops and drove you in circles. This app is the way to go.

It’s ok, but wastes your time, there’s Gps problems and little things make other apps more better. Try Route4Me if you’re willing to pay extra.
  • Not used friendly at all

I paid for the pro version and the web version is confusing. You can see a map, you can see your daily route on the screen. Also uploading your jobs is nearly impossible. Most other companies have the option of copy and paste feature. This makes you do excel however if your excel sheet doesn’t match how they want it it kicks it out. I spent over 2 hours trying to get it to work and decided I was freaking done. I’m not a rookie either. I downloaded OptimoRoute copied my addresses , pasted them in the system and it did it in seconds. I wasted $50 on a product that doesn’t work well at all. I feel like these are paid reviews. There is no way a business person such as myself would rave about this company.
